The Maths Department at Ysgol Syr Thomas Jones provide an excellent opportunity for all the students to reach their full potential, by excellent team work, good teaching and going the extra mile to support and prepare our students for their internal and external exams.
We have maintained a very good standard at KS4 over the last several years and this Year our Numeracy GCSE results placed us TOP in Mon,5th in Gwynedd and Mon and 16th out of 54 schools in GWE. These results are testament to the excellent team work we have in our Department. Our enthusiasm and motivation is transferred to our students who in turn are motivated to succeed. We provide excellent support, revision resources and extra revision sessions to help our students prepare for their exams.
Business
Business introduces learners to the business world, empowering them to develop as commercially minded and enterprising individuals. Learners will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills, enabling them to use business information critically, to develop arguments, to make justified decisions and to prepare them for further study and career pathways”
